How To Help
Your support makes a real difference in the lives of older adults in our community. Volunteering your time is one way to get involved—whether helping deliver meals, assisting with transportation, or lending a hand at community events, your time and effort are invaluable.
Donations are another impactful way to contribute, directly supporting essential services like in-home care, meal delivery, and wellness programs for seniors in need. Advocacy also plays a key role; by sharing our mission and raising awareness, you can help ensure more older adults receive the support they deserve to live with dignity and independence. Together, we can make a lasting impact.
The Cumberland County Council on Older Adults was established in 1968 as a non-profit organization to support the needs of our local aging population. Fifty-six years later we are still committed to our mission: to help older adults living in Cumberland County maintain their independence at home with dignity by providing a variety of home and community-based supportive services.
We offer services at no cost to seniors age 60+ living in Cumberland County, as well as their caregivers. How? Through our dedicated volunteers and staff, generous monetary support from the community, and various funding sources.
You may be an older adult, caregiver, and/or friend seeking information about local senior resources, or interested in volunteering with one of our programs… either way, give us a call. We look forward to speaking with you!
